Which range does it cover? How fast does &#8220;it&#8221; get &#8220;loud&#8221;. What is the behavior around the +0 dB mark?<\/p>\n<p>I sampled the midi volume fader behavior from several of the most popular Digital Audio Workstations. The difference is quite obvious as you can see in the graph to the right.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.matthiaskronlachner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/pd-fader-behavior-screen.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1584\" alt=\"pd-fader-behavior-screenshot\" src=\"https:\/\/www.matthiaskronlachner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/pd-fader-behavior-screen-150x150.png\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>I made a <strong>Pure Data abstraction<\/strong> as replacement for the frequently used <span style=\"font-family: andale mono,times;\">[fadtorms]<\/span> or <span style=\"font-family: andale mono,times;\">[dbtorms]<\/span>.
